Community Groups

As a part of the expanding scope of services and programs offered by the LGBTQ Resource Center, we are proud to offer a variety of intentional Community Groups. Our Community Groups function as on-going disucssion groups that explore a variety of identities and experiences within LGBTQ communities.

Students are encouraged to participate in as many community groups as they would like.

Our community groups are not registered student organizations, but rather a service and space created by the LGBTQ Resource Center and facilitated by students.

Current Community Groups:

  • The Aces & Aros Community Group focuses on the experiences of asexual and aromoantic students; creating community surrounding the intersections of their identity.

  • B+ Community Group focuses on the experiences of non-monosexual students; creating a space for students to come together and create community surrounding the intersections of their identity.

  • The Queer Men Community Group focuses on the experiences of students who identify as LGBTQ and men; creating a space for students to come together and create community surrounding the intersections of their identity.
  • Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPoC) focuses on the experiences of students of color who identify as LGBTQ; creating a space for students to come together and create community surrounding the intersections of their identity.
  • The Queer Women Community Group focuses on the experiences of students who identify as LGBTQ and women; creating a space for students to come together and create community surrounding the intersections of their identity.
  • TRANScend Community Group focuses on the experiences of transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary students; creating a space for students to come together and create community surrounding the intersections of their identity.
