Safe Space Scholarship
The Safe Space Endowed Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a full or part-time student, undergraduate or graduate, who has worked to enhance the lives of lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender individuals through active involvement in on- or off-campus LGBT organizations. The scholarship will help offset the costs of tuition, housing, and fees, allowing the student to compress the time it takes to meet their degree requirements and concentrate on their degree programs.
Full or Part Time Students
Applicant must demonstrate a track record of advocacy for LGBT individuals or involvement in LGBT organizations within the community or the community at large
Open to all majors
Undergraduate students: must be registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours per term, must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at KSU with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Graduate students: must be registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours per term, enrolled in any graduate degree program, and must have completed a minimum of 9 credit hours at KSU with a minimum 3.3 GPA.
Recipients are to be selected by a designated committee and will receive up to $1000 per academic year.
